I accepted a position with Shannon & Associates LLP (S&A) as a Tax Manager in June 2019. As a CPA with 6 years experience, changing accounting firms was no easy task… especially considering I was relocating across country. My goal was to find a firm with a great culture, team-oriented atmosphere, work/life balance, and room for career growth and advancement.
Since I have been here, my passions have been acknowledged, I’ve been given opportunities to learn & develop my skills, and have not once felt as though my opinion was not heard. S&A believes in a culture of respect, collaboration and mentorship for its employees and encourages participation and input from ALL levels of staff. Regular meetings and an open-door policy give every employee the opportunity to find ways to be involved, share ideas, and get feedback… all while growing personally and professionally.
Whether process improvement initiatives or individual skill development courses, there is no lack of drive to improve procedures, staff knowledge, and maintain stellar quality of service. Shannon & Associates understands that employees are people with individual goals, differing backgrounds, and unique experiences – and embraces those differences to learn from and educate one another.
