On June 4, our team stepped away from spreadsheets and tax returns to do something a little closer to home.
Shannon & Associates took part in HLB Communities Day 2026, the annual global day of giving back for the HLB International network.
Across 155 countries, more than 55,000 HLB professionals spent the day volunteering, fundraising, and supporting local causes.
Our contribution went to the cause we care about most: the Shannon & Friends Foundation.
This year, our team went shopping and sorted through our inventory to prepare for our September back-to-school shoe handout at local elementary schools.
It may not sound glamorous, but every pair we line up now means a child starts the school year with confidence, comfort, and one less thing to worry about.
The Shannon & Friends Foundation was created with a simple goal:
To make sure local elementary school children have the shoes, coats, and school supplies they need.
Over the past five years, the support of our clients, staff, and friends has helped us raise close to $60,000. And because we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% of every donation goes directly to kids in our community.
HLB Communities Day is rooted in a purpose we share year-round: helping our clients, our people, and our communities flourish. June 4 was simply our chance to show it in action.
