Experience and Expertise

With more than 25 years of experience serving clients in the distribution, manufacturing, and services industries, among others, Jeanette’s primary focus is on helping clients with accounting and assurance services, as well as serving closely-held clients with tax matters. Specific industry focus areas among the broader manufacturing, distribution, and service areas are: action-sports, footwear, food and beverage, outdoor sporting, aerospace, construction materials, and more.

She has helped spearhead the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group and working with corporations or third-party consultants for pre-transaction planning, readiness preparation, due diligence, quality of earnings, assisting with accounting for business transactions, and deal structure consulting are part of her wheelhouse.

In addition, she has developed strong expertise in employee benefit plan auditing and consulting over the last 25+ years, and jointly manages this continually growing niche at the firm. Jeanette is a leader of the firm’s Quality Control Team as well as the firm’s Director of Accounting and Auditing, and because of this enhanced technical role, consults with clients on complex GAAP matters such as accounting for revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations, share-based payments (stock options) implementation/maintenance, and internal controls and process reviews.

Approach

For Jeanette, it is all about having strong relationships and delivering excellent client service. She works toward building a comfortable relationship with the client’s core team and focuses on meeting their needs. Whether it’s providing detailed explanations of audit issues, discussing industry trends over lunch, or getting her audit team in and out of the client’s office quickly and painlessly – her ultimate goal is to keep the client’s most important priorities as her own.

…at home in Gig Harbor, keeping up with her 4 adult sons, and dog Cody, juggling activities such as volunteering in her church’s lay counseling program, exercise, scrapbooking, or pouring over episodes of HGTV and DIY.
