Drake is a partner and joined Shannon & Associates in 1997. Drake has been in the accounting industry since 1973. His career path has lead him to gain a variety of experiences as he worked for a number of companies and organizations; this diversity of expertise is an integral part of what makes him such a valuable asset to our firm. In his position at a major financial institution, he was responsible for accounting policy and reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has also worked for one of the "big five" accounting firms, was the controller of a large nonprofit, and has run his own firm. Through each of these roles, he has gained a tremendous breadth of knowledge. In the area of nonprofit audits alone, Drake's experience ranges from a college foundation to a city youth service organization to a religion-based mission. His areas of specific expertise include:

Julia is a partner and the firm's administrator. She joined Shannon & Associates in 1991. In her position as the firm administrator, she is responsible for the day to day operations, scheduling, client relations, policy, and new technology implementation and training. Julia is a non-licensed CPA firm owner. William Cotter, CPA, wcotter@shannon-cpas.comBill joined Shannon & Associates in 2003 and is a partner with more than 36 years of public accounting experience. Prior to joining our firm, Bill owned his own accounting firm in Auburn for over 29 years. Bill also spent three years on the audit staff of one of the "big five" accounting firms followed by two years as a corporate controller for an $80 million food manufacturing company with subsidiary companies in radio, TV stations and real estate development enterprises.
